So much going on.

You might want to grab a drink for this one...

I can tell that it is almost officially summer, because life is getting crazy busy. Unfortunately, the fact that Jessalyn is STILL in school (and will be till the 27th) is really cramping our style! We (Jessalyn and I) can't wait until school is over..there is so much fun to be had!

Until then...the boys and I will just have to have the fun without her while she enjoys her last few weeks of firstgraderness. Yes, I just made that word up...I like making up my own words.

We've spent some time at the beach...where I won yet another "bad parenting award". I did put sunscreen on the kids..but apparently I needed to re-apply. We all ended up with some pretty good looking sunburns. Yes. Even Owen.

I LOVE this picture of the boys. I hope to remember this picture and try to duplicate it when they are adults...

Jessalyn had her first grade performance at school last week. It was exciting because Nana, Granny, Papa, Kirsten AND Daddy were all able to make it...(along with me and the boys of course). The kids were super cute and all did a great job!

Saturday was an exciting day. I got up and got in the shower and when I got out of the shower Mr. D and Butch had already taken out the window in the dining room!!! In only a few hours there was a fully functioning door in its place...and then a few hours after that a sweet deck appeared!! Talk about "git 'er done"! Of course...it wasn't just the two of them, they had three other "helpers" to make things quicker. (ha ha ha). Steve came by and put up the insulation so that the back side of the house is ready to side! I'm not sure what I will do now that I won't be able to count on the "pantry" to keep my food cold!!! (Karole-Ann knows what I'm talking about!) I am SO excited about the back porch. Unfortunately, its been raining ever since, so we haven't really gotten to use it to its potential, but trust me...we will. I took some pics during the construction....

A finished door!

The night before the door project we were able to go to the Mitz's for our annual "lupine festival" fun. Every year we go visit with them..have a wonderful dinner and play in the barn and take a lupine walk. Its fun to catch up with them and of course the kids love playing with Jack and Aden.

Ethan and Owen taking a walk.

Papa and Granny and Owen.

Funny. Ethan and Papa..with the same pose.

Driving it. He drives EVERYTHING, thanks to Mario Kart.

Most of the group with the Mitz Family...(missing Papa, Me and Mr. Mitz)

A lupine...well..a few lupine.

Me trying to get a non-traditional view of a lupine..(looking at it from the top)

Saturday night Shara gave Owen a haircut! I don't usually let the boys go long before I give them a short cut. Its much easier. You can compare this picture to the one of him above...a big difference. He looks so much older! (this isn't the greatest "after" picture...but you can get the idea anyway...

In between all of these things that we've been doing since my last post we also celebrated Fathers Day at Granny and Papa's house with the annual Lobster Rolls. It was nice to be able to spend it with Great Nana and Grampa Bill..as well as Mr. D, Aaron and Lacy...and the usual members of the fam. Unfortunately, Josh wasn't able to be there with us as he was on the road headed to another trip away with his job. The kids were quite upset (Jessalyn especially).

Then we got to spend the day today with friends! Heath had to come for Antioch school so Karole-Ann and the boys came for the day. We had a great time visiting with Jenn and the girls and then went to Karen's for a yummy dinner...and dessert! It will be our last dessert for a while as we are all on a mission to lose some weight in the next couple weeks for Ben and Sarah's wedding!!

Really..how much can we possibly squeeze into a few days?? If you made it to the end of this post, I commend you:)

Speaking of getting ready for Ben & Sarah's wedding, I think we should all really dress to the nines! I mean really above and beyond, maybe you all already do that for weddings, so maybe this comment is just for me...

Wow, you have been busy!! I love the new door :) We'll have to get together one of these days and go to the beach together. Do you usually go to Levitt Beach?

Oooh!! I love the look of the new door. How nice! You know...until I saw the picture I didn't *get* who the extra "helpers" were, LOL!!
